Laura Geller Makeup Review 2024: What’s Worth Buying and What’s Not

Laura Geller Makeup review: enjoy this nostalgic moment. In fact, I got to know Laura when I was an assistant beauty editor at Family Circle magazine a long time ago.

Seven years later, I’m only now becoming interested in her stuff. I appreciate that her brand uses premium ingredients at a comparatively low cost. When it comes to makeup, I really like that she is all about utilizing products that are safe enough for sensitive skin.

    Laura Geller Makeup Review

Laura Geller Makeup has had her makeup line for a very long time—since 1997, to be precise. She has created a beauty empire, and her goods are sold on QVC and at bargain stores all across the nation.

The line has been around for a while, so perhaps that explains why most of her customers tend to be older women with more aged skin. Having said that, a few TikTok videos with younger-looking ladies employing the line have appeared in my feed. Of course, there is no minimum age requirement to utilize the Laura Geller cosmetics collection! Regardless of age, I would suggest this brand to people with sensitive, easily irritated skin if we were to classify the clientele in any way.

Her best-selling item is the Baked Balance-N-Brighten Foundation. I recently bought Laura Geller’s Cult Classics Full Face Kit, which is the subject of this cosmetic review. Learn everything there is to know about the products I liked and didn’t like below.

    Laura Geller Makeup Ingredients

The Laura Geller beauty collection includes a number of baked goods that are made with common ingredients found in other powder products. Ingredients like mica, talc, dimethicone, jojoba seed oil, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, centella asiatica extract, and more are likely to be present.

It’s significant to remember that EWG Skin Deep claims Laura Geller makeup is not actually a “clean” beauty brand. That won’t deter me from utilizing this makeup line, though.

    Best Laura Geller Makeup

    Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation

Probably Laura Geller’s most well-known cosmetic is this one. While providing a natural foundation look, the Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation works to cover up flaws without providing full coverage. Like the Magic Minerals Airbrush Foundation, the product is buildable with each layer and provides light-to-medium coverage.

This foundation has a pleasant feel on the skin, and I appreciate how light and airy it is. Since I dislike heavily covered foundation, this choice is ideal for me. Its pressed formula makes it easier to apply than my favorite loose powder, Alima Pure Foundation, which is another feature I adore.

The fact that this choice didn’t seem to settle into my fine lines and wrinkles—which, given that I’m only 31—was another feature I loved about it. Using a liquid foundation can sometimes make my acne scars and fine wrinkles stand out more. This solution didn’t feel dry when I used it, which was nice.

On my skin, the product held up pretty nicely all day. I tested it using the Spackle Primer that comes with the box as well as simply my moisturizer below. The foundation held strong throughout the day on both occasions.

Laura Geller Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer: Hydrate

I’m having trouble deciding if I like this highlighter or not. It fades in and gives my skin a lovely sheen when I swipe it with my finger and blend it onto the back of my hand. However, this highlighter merely looks chalky and mutes the colors of my blush when I use it over it.

I tried using this highlighter under my blush, and it helped to resolve the problem. Generally speaking, I think cream highlighters (like these Ogee beauty sticks) appear far more natural than powder highlighters. I probably wouldn’t suggest this highlighter as a result.

    Is Laura Geller Makeup Good?

Yes, I believe Laura Geller’s cosmetics to be good. Having stated that, I believe some items are superior than others. Really, I’ve just tested the items included in the Cult Classics Full Face Kit. I haven’t tried all of the other Laura Geller items yet, though.

Laura Geller has a lengthy history in the beauty business. She seems to truly know her stuff. Additionally, it seems to me that the Laura Geller brand caters more to people with older skin. That won’t stop me from using the things I usually bought, though.

    Laura Makeup Tutorial

Step 1 – Apply the Laura Geller Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer: Hydrate

Using your fingertips, apply a small amount of the primer on your face. Before applying the foundation, I prefer to let it absorb into my skin for a minute or two.

Step 2 – Buff Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation into skin

To incorporate the product into your skin, use the retractable kabuki brush. The amount of the brush retract that determines how much coverage you can apply—light, medium, or heavy. When applying foundation, I like to twirl the brush and massage it into my skin.

Step 3 – Add Laura Geller Baked Natural Glow Highlighter in French Vanilla on cheekbones

I then like to enhance my cheekbones with highlighter. My preference is to apply highlighter before blush because I like the highlight to create a glow that looks as though it’s coming from within. Additionally, you can apply this on the tip of your nose, the inside corner of your eyes, and the brow bone.

Step 4 – Add Laura Geller Baked Blush-N-Brighten Marbleized Blush on apples of cheeks

You can add a thin layer of blush to the apples of your cheekbones after applying the highlighter. With this blush, exercise caution as it is highly pigmented! Small amounts have a big impact.

Step 5 – Add Laura Geller Modern Classic Lipstick in Divine to your lips

Apply the lipstick last! I like to use mascara and brow gel to tie everything together.

    FAQs

    1. Is Laura Geller makeup toxic?

It might be a stretch to describe Laura Geller makeup as toxic—at least not to humans—despite the fact that the brand contains a lot of dubious components. Given that Laura Geller includes ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, it is reasonable to conclude that it is hazardous to both the environment and wildlife. In addition, there are other artificial substances, such as the colorant chromium oxide green and the preservative phenoxyethanol.

    2. Does this makeup have SPF?

The majority of Laura Geller cosmetics, such as their brightening foundation and lipsticks, lack SPF. However, there is one Laura Geller product that you can use to shield your skin from UV radiation. This SPF 50+ Better than Bare Tinted Moisturizer is that. Consider it to be an extremely thin Laura Geller foundation.

    3. Is Laura Geller makeup hypoallergenic?

Just as certain Laura Geller products include SPF and some don’t, so too are some products more or less hypoallergenic. For sensitive skin, the baked foundation works wonders, according to KTTV in Colorado.

    4. Does Laura Geller makeup have parabens?

In case you were unaware, parabens are substances that extend the shelf life of cosmetics by acting as preservatives. Many of Laura Geller Beauty’s products are paraben-free, according to their customer service page. There are some who aren’t, though. On the pages for each product, you can see which are and are not paraben-free.
